Seminis Sweet Corn Resource Library
Seminis Sweet Corn in Australia
PART OF A GLOBAL BREEDING NETWORK
Seminis has been busy trialing new Sweet Corn hybrids for the Australian market. With a focus on leading disease packages, good cob characteristics and outstanding yield potential, Seminis hybrids benefit from a global network of breeders and technology development specialists who use their expertise to bring new varieties that meet grower needs.
For fresh or processing, Seminis is looking at a pipeline of varieties that are adapted to local conditions. With a promising pipeline of bi-colour and yellow corn, Australian Sweet Corn growers can look forward to a new generation of varieties.
The first of a new range of Sweet Corn available from Seminis in Australia, is Acceleration. Acceleration will offer growers a market-leading disease package, with resistance to all known races of Common Rust (RpG5).
